His mom (Bernadette) wouldn't stop crying for months. His Dad (IDW Jules) tried his best to stay strong even though deep down he was devastated. After secretly discovering Shadow alive following the explosion that supposedly killed him, Sonic spends weeks helping him recover in secret. Their late‑night visits slowly shift from tense and reluctant to warm and meaningful, leaving Sonic with feelings he can't outrun. One autumn evening, those emotions spill out in a vulnerable song he sings alone in the backyard, unaware his family is listening. Instead of judgment, they offer support, assuring him that his love for Shadow doesn't change who he is to them. Shadow hears the confession too, hidden in the trees. Moved by Sonic's honesty, he seeks him out later that night under the stars. Hand in hand, they finally acknowledge what's grown between them, sharing Sonic's first kiss while their nosy but supportive family quietly retreats to give them space. Beneath the moonlight, Sonic and Shadow begin a new chapter of two hearts finally aligned.

Nick celebrated his 20th birthday with his family a few weeks ago and currently his adventurous, young heart brought him all the way to Westopolis, where he enrolled at the local college in order to achieve a higher education and possibly start his new life in the city. Along the way, he makes a few friends and encounters a certain dark hedgehog, who is hiding much darker secret, than what Nick dared to believe. Regardless, he doesn't let that faze him and when the stars align for him, he might discover something, that should rather remain forever unseen..... •☆NOTES☆• This story takes place in my own fictional version of Mobius, hence all characters mentioned in the chapters are Mobians. I have been inspired by the Nicky x Shadow thing, so, there is my version of Sonic as Nicky. Except for that, there are also other OCs and Sonic characters depicted in my own headcanon versions of them. The canon characters from the Sonic franchise belong to SEGA, I only own the OCs mentioned in the story. There is also my own version of the college system, which may be different from our reality, so, expect me to be 'incorrect' about some things regarding that. ⚠️Warning⚠️ This story may contain references to self-harming, depressive episodes and mild depiction of violence (nothing explicit though)! Not everyone can be like Shadow, After all Immortality doesn't come naturally.
