The year is 2072, and humankind has fallen to its knees as a result of its ignorance. Earth has been torn up into different towns and cities that hold at least 1 million people and now they roam the Milky Way freely. All seems well, despite the grim circumstances, but fate has yet another curve ball to throw. "Appleitis", a new and deadly disease, has taken humanity by storm - and the culprit? Human's companion for over 750,000 years - the apple. Chaos ensues everywhere, and crossing over into different cities is now strictly forbidden. But Ira, working with a classified agency, soon discovers that everything she has seen, the mass panic, the hullabaloo, is only the tip of the iceberg, and that there is a much darker scheme brewing below... *DISCLAIMER: This is the first story I've ever published, so there may be a couple of plot holes or mistakes. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!* *ANOTHER DISCLAIMER: Any resemblance/reference to any person/s, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. "Like a withering rose, the essence of joy is fleeting when it is left to die..." - Author Not everyone is blessed with a happy life, some are left to suffer. Their heart breaks, their backs stabbed. All just to meet a single fate, yet they try to go against it foolishly. Do not forget, luminous moments are mirages that leads to horrifying losses in the near future... Happy interactions and conversations lie deeper meaning about what they went through. If you blindly expect anything like happily-ever-after, you might take the tragedy heavily. If joy is to be found today, then sorrow shall be found tomorrow... Try not to get distracted from their suffering, sometimes whatever is happening is only a delusion. The clock chimes as it's powerful arms move mercilessly forward, unable to rewind everything to the life they had desired... Sometimes the ones they sought are to be found buried into the cold future. Dreams and relationships often forgotten from the burden of their pasts. Death become something they once feared into something they will gladly accept as they face it more frequently... "As torment ceases, the tragedy of life also disappears..." - Author

I return to poetry with a quieter flame, A third collection shaped by a different name. This time, my thoughts unfold in a borrowed sound, Where English gathers what my heart has found. Each line is a pulse, deliberate and bare, A trace of inner weather, exposed to the air. Not born of this language, yet held in its frame, I bend it with care to pronounce what I am. Here, feelings are formed in unfamiliar light, Asked not to be perfect, but honest and right. These poems do not shout-they linger, they stay, Inviting the reader to pause and to weigh. I ask you to enter with patience and grace, To read what is meant, not the marks on the page. For poetry lives in the space between rules, Where intention outweighs the sharpness of tools. These poems are bound to me, by right and by name, They carry my mark, my voice, my flame. I ask, with respect, they not be claimed or reused, Nor altered, nor taken, nor wrongly accused. Like embers held close, still warm in the air, I leave you these words, entrusted with care. A testament of closeness, of presence, of truth, Of moments shared gently, in silence as proof. ioana #1 : variousthemes #1 : verses #4 : reading #8 : sorrow #8 : words

Kabaong is a quiet, aching testament to grief that does not come from death, but from loss that still breathes. Written as a means of survival, the book holds the sorrow of loving someone who remains alive yet unreachable, whose absence lingers in the heart like an unclosed wound. It becomes a symbol-not of endings, but of release. Within it are buried weight of fear, the ache of unspoken words, the pain of memories that can no longer be carried. Kabaong is about choosing to lay down what has been too heavy for too long, without denying that it once mattered. At its core, the book is about learning how to heal without erasing yourself-about honouring the past without being imprisoned by it. It speaks to the slow, fragile act of letting go while still believing in a future where hope is possible, where the present is not sacrificed to pain, and where healing does not mean forgetting, but finally allowing yourself to live again.

Highest rank #16 on 11/12/16 I clutched his leg as he turned to go. "You had me enough times that you don't want me anymore" I struggled as the pain didn't allow me to speak; through jagged breaths I whispered "now end it all for once." He sat and stroking my hair with his hand said in a low voice "Not yet dear". ........................................................................................................................................................................ When an innocent crush turns into a lethal mistake, Maria Rasheed is annihilated. She finds her will to live wane but there is a flame inside her which refuses to bow down to the storm that destroyed her life. She is determined to define herself as a victor rather than a victim.
