Twilight Sparkle's obsession with Star Swirl the Bearded results in a time rupture when she accidentally extracts a THEIF from the time line rather than the wizard she so admires! The only way to get the villian back where he can do no harm is to win the Equestria games... but Rainbow Dash might have something to say about that; why should SHE forfeit?!

Sparkle, referred to as Hanabi for most of the story, wants to sign up for Siegfeld Institute of Music.. for some reason. It has acting classes, which are all she cares for. Besides, she can sing... probably.. eh, hasn't tested it out yet... at the same time, she will become Siegfeld's number one prankster, without letting her kind and elegant persona to be ruined. I wonder if anyone will find out?
