Josh was a normal 16-year-old guy that had everything at the palm of his hands; looks, good grades, and a beautiful girlfriend, Paige. Paige was his whole other world, where he could escape from everything that went on between his family. But one day, Paige is gone, and Josh is shattered, not knowing what to do with his life. He then makes friends with his new neighbor, Ricky, who teaches Josh different ways to cope with depression and stress, even if all of them aren't good ideas. Slowly he learns the arts of cutting and burning, and becomes a wreck. At this point in his life, Josh has no idea what to do except for rebel and stay friends with his terrible friend, Drew. Secrets linger in the air, bodies will be hung, and clothing will be taken off. Somehow, this is all kept a dirty, nasty secret that'll leave you saying, 'Shhhh....'

Lyric Martin has always had it all. A perfect family, friends, and everyone has always loved her. "You're perfect. Everything about you is perfect." His stubble tickles my neck as his soft lips leave a trail of kisses along my skin. "I guess that answers my question then." I whisper shakily into his ear, my arms draped lazily around his broad shoulders. He stops abruptly. Those dark black eyes find mine and the look stops me from breathing. "What question?" "If I could be, would you want me to be a werewolf with you?" He pauses for a moment, the only sound heard is our soft breathing, and my heart pounding in my chest. "You're my human. Don't ever think otherwise."

This is the story of a girl, Andromeda Cadavir. The time is 1993 in Bozeman, Montana. Andromeda Cadavir has recently moved from Whitehaven, England to Bozeman, Montana with her parents so they can be teachers at the university. Unfortunately for Andromeda, her classmates in Bozeman aren't as easily pushed over as those in England. She finally gets a taste of her own medicine, even though she doesn't really taste, feel, or see anything anymore. She's finally numb.
