Now the description Castiel joined Sam and Dean on their quest to fight evil and little did Dean know Castiel was growing quite fond of the oldest of these two brothers. Sam noticed that the angel showed an interest in his older brother so he watched him for a while and when Dean was out of the motel room Sam confronted Castiel about his findings. Castiel told S everything about the way he felt about Dean and practically begged Sam not to tell his older brother. Sam wanted to keep the angel's secret after all he did save Dean from hell and that probably wasn't easy so it was the least he could do to pay him back but Dean noticed they both were acting strange so he contronted Sam knowing he'd probably spill first and he did.
