"In the midst of emotions that come and go, this poem is a journey through the world of love, hope, and unity. From the happy memories of family and friendship to the pain and tears of a broken heart, this poem brings to life the emotions we face. In the midst of nature and in moments of togetherness, we will discover the true meaning of love and acceptance. Come, join me on this journey of emotions and memories that shape our lives."

My 2023 New Year's goal was to write a poem/prose/spoken word every day, and I decided that the best way to hold myself accountable was to publish them here each day. None of these will likely be heavily edited or rounded out, and this is for two reasons. The first is that I'm trying to remove myself from the idea that in order for things to be found presentable and "ready," they have to be heavily edited and polished to perfection or as near to it as I can it. The second is that I am typically writing these at the end of the day as a way to wind down. The quality will not be high, and this is more serving as a personal diary than anything else, but for those of you who choose to read, I appreciate you. Thank you for letting me be vulnerable, raw, and basically unedited in this personal project. I hope to look back at these at the end of the year to see growth in myself as a person and the development of my writing abilities. I haven't written poetry in years, and this return to it has already turned out to be particularly cathartic.

This is a collection of spoken word poems and I hope you enjoy it and mark the themes... #ApplesAndSnakes deserve the thanks for this. HIT THE ODE! There's some funny ones in here. If you wanna laugh and you've seen the film 'Battle Royale' I suggest You check out the poem entitled the same. I wrote it to 'try' and be funny. Also, do no way do I endorse any belief in the 'life after death' theory. Nor do endorse That this is the way that these characters would think; I'm not trying to be presumptuous, I'm just writing about something I love and interpreting characters. Not trying to be clever, I'm just Taking something from a small perspective. Thank you.

Poetry has always been one of those things that I've picked up at a young age. As I child, I've always enjoyed writing poetry, even if I was never particularly good at it. It was just something that made me happy. On many occasions, creative writing has always seemed to be overlooked as a form of art and yet creative writing is all around us: in books, in comics, in movies and shows; creative writing is all around us, all over the world and without it; we wouldn't experience a lot of the books, comics along with movies and shows that we have available to us today. I am so thankful for all of the inspirational books and shows I've seen throughout the years that have helped to keep me motivated and have pushed me to practice the craft of creative writing. With two poems published under my name as a result of two poetry contests I've entered, I am really proud of how far my poetry has come. Although I may not share the poems that were published, I'd like to share the poems that I've written both recently and in the past with my fellow readers and writers here on wattpad. I hope someday I can get a book published containing my poetry specifically.

This is the story of a girl who smiles through silence, who carries the weight of expectations, loneliness, and dreams unfulfilled. Through prayers, small joys, and quiet resilience, she seeks light in the darkest nights. A poem about struggle, hope, faith, and the unwavering belief that victory belongs to God.
