Bob is an archivist who loves nature and studies it a lot, and he also camps plenty, one day he finds a hidden/lost ornament (a stone?) which the generations have been trying to find for centuries. He cannot believe it himself but he had read about it in the rare books in his archive. He also recognises how his life is at risk now that he has found it, since the ornament is prestigious/powerful and anyone would do extreme horrors to get their hands on it. The stone is not a weapon, but a catalyst. Maybe it can unlock or activate ancient technology. If it gets in the hands of any of the races: animals, robots, or humans, they would become the most dominant and rule over all others. It would lead to wars. This means anyone who has it has a bargaining chip, making Bob a target for everyone. He doesn't know who to give it to either. So he runs away from the capital with the ornament in his satchel and Freg by his side. He needs to figure out what to do or how to destroy it. Moreover, Bob doesn't desire it in the same way that others do since he is an archivist, and they are one of the few neutral factions who only preserve history. This is why he's so paralyzed.
