Rheena Cathryl Perez is a 15 years old girl who just entered another school. She is known as someone "special", though she never believed it herself. Rheena is good at drawing, she can draw beautifully, especially human emotions and animals too. Funny how, she is best at drawing the very thing she cannot feel.
Rheena doesn't feel emotions the way others do. She knows the words happy, sad, angry, and scared etc. but she never truly understood what they meant. Inside her, everything feels empty, like stone. Because of her emotionless face and quiet nature, she was bullied in elementary school and highschool, and labeled as "the stone girl".
Her parents, worried about her, transferred her to a new school so she could start over.
On the first day of class, Rheena stands in front of the mirror, practicing how to smile. Not because she is nervous, but because she don't want to be bullied again. She doesn't want to be misunderstood anymore.
Rheena hates herself more than anyone else. She believes that not being able to feel makes he broken, unworthy, and different in the worst way possible. She thinks that having no emotions is harder than having any illness.
But everything begins to change when she meets Keagan Rivosky.
Keagan is the opposite of her, lively, expressive, always smiling. When he walks down the hallway, it feels like the world moves with him. He laughs easily, talks to everyone, and carries a warmth Rheena has never known.
.......and maybe, just maybe Keagan will be the one who will make Rheena smile for the first time.
