This is an alternate ending to Endgame. I didn't think that Steve would leave Bucky (because he likes Bucky but doesn't realize it yet) so I wrote an ending that fixes it.

He got interested but the killer seemed to notice his presence and immediately ran over and lunged at him with a knife. Loki, only chuckled and patted his head. The killer immediately passed out and fell limp in his arms. **Oh and im making the winter soldier a different person in James's mind. I know its not cannon. Some other things are also made up, thank you. Oh and I changed James's eye color too. Also I do understand that it might get boring so...ehe, sorry. After waking up from the ice, Steve gets lost in his own head. The avengers notice that Steve gets distant. After a lot of coaxing Steve starts telling the avengers about his past with Bucky. Eventually they all begin to know and love Bucky as well. Soon, a new villain more powerful, skilled and ruthless as the Black Widow shows up and the avengers are forced to fight the Winter Soldier.

"Cut down one head, two more shall take its place," they said. The Flag-Smashers are gone, America has a new Captain to look up to, and most importantly, Hydra no longer has the world in a chokehold. They've all moved on. Yet Bucky Barnes is still there, shaped by his past. The problem? No matter how hard he tries, he can't outrun it. He is the final proof of Hydra's existence, which haunts him.
