Charlie is just a typical girl. She likes Starbucks, she plays competitive volleyball. The things that aren't so typical about her is that she can skate, she is kinda a tomboy and she is really into punk rock music. The things that people don't know about her is her home life and how she is adopted. Nobody knows what goes on behind those paper thin walls in her old house that nobody has ever been too. One day during one of her parents arguments, Charlie's dad beats her because he thinks that it is her fault for all the fights. It ends up with him raping her. Sick of everything, she runs away to LA in the hopes that someone will find her and help her reach her family. She meets a member of her favorite band and realizes that she is closer to her dad than she originally thought.
