Jae-hoon, Costello, Lyla, Eloise, Bastien, Vincent, Chizuko, Wren, Summer, Pierce, Meredith, Tonisha, Wallace, Jack, Amaryllis, and Felix are teenagers and young adults between the ages of 17 and 23 united by one shared trait: they are all tired of their ho-hum lives and want to get out of their comfort zones to try something new- maybe even for a cash prize in the process.
Meanwhile, after her father William's cancer diagnosis, Blanche Lestonion is on track to become the new owner of his famous estate, Lestonion Island. What better way to continue her father's somewhat warped legacy by creating a reality show off of it? Enter Camp Castaways.
Camp Castaways is a combination of the physical grit of Survivor, the social game and slight luxury of Big Brother, the randomness of BFDI, and the general 'fun' the average summer camp brings. Our campers will be divided into two teams of 8: Team Coconut and Team Crocodile. Each of the contestants will compete in a challenge every three days that determines whether or not their team receives immunity and/or another physical prize on top of that. These challenges may be as simple as a cook-off or as wild as a giant game of Monopoly. Whatever Blanche wants, her rich father will make it happen (for better or for worse).
The losing team of each challenge will be subject to the elimination trials, where each member will vote for one of their own to be sent away to the Exile Ruins until the end of the show. Once 10 players are left, the teams will merge, leaving every camper for themselves until the final 3 battle it out to see who goes home with the money.
There will be tears. There will be arguments. There may even be a little bit of fun! But until we walk off of the ship and onto the rickety floor of Camp Castaways, nobody will know for sure.
