Just as the battle reaches its climax, a mysterious, unknown entity bursts onto the scene, immobilizing both of them with an inexplicable power. Before they can react, they both fall unconscious. When they awaken, reality has completely changed: Izuku finds himself trapped in Shigaraki's body, and Shigaraki, discovers he is Midoriya. Neither can understand what has happened or how to fix it. Confused and under pressure, they decide-each for their own reasons-not to reveal the truth immediately and to impersonate the other so as not to arouse suspicion. However, maintaining this charade proves far from simple. Even Bakugo Katsuki, who has always referred to Izuku as "Deku", can't help but sense that something is wrong. Month after month, doubts grow, and the strange behavior becomes harder to ignore.
