(Trigger warning for mention of scars and schizophrenic/manic episodes) This story is about a girl who is struggling with PTSD and is having hallucinations of her past, she also struggles with Synesthesia (Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense (for example, hearing) is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight. - https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/syne.html -) which I myself have and live with. I wrote this story to show that even though we do hallucinate, and some of us handle it better than others, we are not monsters. We're our heroes to our own battle.

In My Mind is a collection of autobiographical short stories. Every chapter will be a distinct memory of mine, that I will try and recollect through synesthesia. The first chapter was one of my first college assessment : "Through Synesthesia Describe Your Very First Memory". I struggled a lot writing it as I have a hard time remembering my past/childhood. I'll probably struggle more in future chapters, but I will do my best writing stories that are enjoyable and beautiful to read, as well as easy to visualize.
