I have three secrets. 1. I'm in the witness protection program. I witnessed my mother's murder when I was eight years old, and now the murderer is after me. 2. I can read minds. Or not "read" them... not exactly. But I can feel them. Every emotion has a color. An aura, as I call it. And I can feel those auras. I can feel the color of one's thoughts. 3. I can't feel Elijah Whitney's aura. [ COMPLETED - 1.28.16 ] [ LATEST REVISION - 8.17.19 ] [ SEQUEL COMING FALL 2019 ]

[ SEQUEL TO CHAMELEON ] Run. Hide. Stay low. Blend in. Shed your skin and step into someone else's. These are the values I've been taught. But how does one unlearn things that have been so vital to their survival in the past? I'm at least learning to try. For their sake, if not for mine. My name is Aspen Brooks Quinn, and I can read minds. But I'm not the only one who can do something unnatural. There are others, others like me. But my secrets are nothing compared to theirs. And theirs? Theirs could change what it means to be human. [ON HOLD UNTIL 2021 BECAUSE LIFE]

I had never told anyone. I mean, why would I, when people would just think I was crazy. You were supposed to see colors. And hear sounds. Simple. You weren't supposed to see sound. Freak. But I was never meant to be simple. But that's how life is. Don't tell people, and people won't ask questions. I am not a freak. I will not be a freak.

Imaginary Friends - And Other Stories From the Hospital A dystopian future in which everyone with a mental or physical difference is shipped off to the Hospital to get "cured". Also a social commentary. The first "chapter", Imaginary Friends, was originally a single story, but then I had other ideas and decided to write more stories about people in the Hospital. It's also a way for me to try writing from perspectives I wouldn't usually. Conditions described in these stories: - Synesthesia - Cotard's syndrome - Hemispatial neglect - Urbach-Wiethe disease - Obsessive-compulsive disorder - Lesch-Nyhan syndrome - Peripheral neuropathy

Poems gathered from the deepest, darkest crevices of my mind. Pieces of a puzzle. Maybe you can solve it. Enjoy your journey, and stay on the right trail or you might get lost. This book is dedicated to my best friends, and my future loved ones. This book is inspired by poems from Gabbie Hanna, Halsey, and Hayley Williams.

This is my first ever poetry collection and it took me a little over a year to complete. I realize the first few poems are poorly written but, I keep them around to remind myself how far I've come. Its kind of encouraging. So if you see fit to read this please do not judge me on the first few poems you come across, they were written from the heart and thats all that matters. :)

After the devastating fire that burned down her memories, her life, her parents, and her future, Esmé is unhinged, to say the least. Her aunt and uncle are passive, but worried about her recovery just weeks after the tragedy and look down on her behaviour. The sphynx next door, Taba, is no better but argues another possibility: she needs to go back to the wreck and discover what's waiting for her. ▲ Statue in cover is Undine Rising From the Waters carved by Chauncey Ives

The world's darkest desires play on repeat. And she's the only one who can hear them. Cassia Bellweather's "tone-deafness" at elite Aethelgard Conservatory hides a terrifying gift: she hears the dissonance beneath reality. A thrum of corrupt emotions. A melody of envy that leaves phantom moth wings on her skin. When a woman with emerald eyes starts conducting it, twisting students into rivals and predators, Cassia digs into a century of vanished musicians. But the deeper she listens, the clearer it becomes: She's not just hearing the music. It's tuning her.
