Sometimes, the people who change your life are the ones you never expected to meet.
After three years of building a life in Seoul, leaving South Korea was supposed to be the hardest part of starting over.
Instead, my new beginning starts with a missing suitcase, a ruined coffee, and the most embarrassing encounter of my life.
Arriving in New Zealand for a fresh start, the last thing I expect is to crash-quite literally-into Kim Taehyung.
He's famous.
I'm exhausted.
And, thanks to a very unfortunate combination of caffeine and bad luck, I've already managed to embarrass myself in front of him.
But Taehyung doesn't seem to mind.
In fact, he seems strangely interested in the woman who accidentally walked into him, complained about her terrible day in fluent Korean, and treated him like an ordinary person.
What starts as a chance encounter slowly becomes something neither of us expected.
As our paths continue to cross, I begin to wonder if meeting him really was just coincidence.
Maybe some people enter your life by chance.
Maybe others are meant to stay.
And somewhere between Seoul, New Zealand, and the place I once called home, I might just discover that home isn't always a place.
Sometimes...
it's a person. ❤️
