The once jaded and problematic teen Jess Mariano tries to make peace with his bad boy past. Losing the love of his life, hated by most and having no plan for the future he tries to work himself from the ground up. Partly because he wants to prove everyone wrong, partly because he realizes he's worth it, but mostly because he hopes to one day be worthy of her love.

Luke and Lorelai expanded the Dragonfly and are fostering 2 children, Michale (Mikey) who is 7 and Nina who's 13. Jess turned 'Lukes' into a reading cafe and lives in Stars Hollow. Logan broke off his engagement to Odette and owns a chain of bars in new york. I'm a huge Jory shipper and this story takes place before the AYITL Rory shows up to see Jess during the campaign trail after yale and is pleasantly surprised when she goes home 2 months later. The rest you have to read my book for. What I like to describe as a Christian version of Gilmore Girls: The Jess & Rory love story. ------------------------ Meet Cadence Carter. A girl who is a straight A student and a diligent follower of God. A girl who seemingly has everything... except for love. Don't get me wrong of course she has love from her mother. Love from God and love from her small town, but she has always wondered what it was like to really fall in love. She's dreamed about finding the perfect guy and never even imagined that he would show up in town and be the complete opposite of the boy that she wished for. Logan is a lost boy who is tired of always creeping in the shadows and stashing away his secrets, but when he meets Cadence it's almost like that solid brick wall starts to melt away, will he let it completely melt or will he leave her with a broken heart? Will they help each other find their way and allow God to intervene with their plans or will their relationship crumble underneath the weight of all the pressure that they each set upon their own shoulders? (All characters and storyline are my own. Story was heavily inspired by Gilmore Girls, but nothing was actually taken directly from the show.)

This story takes places after the last 4 words from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. While I am a Team Jess, I am not anti Logan and I am trying to portray this as closely as I can to how I think the original writers would if they were to continue. So if you are expecting instant gratification, this probably isn't a story for you. I am not entirely sure where it's going to be perfectly honest. That being said I do not own these characters. :) This is my first time attempting anything like this, so bare with me. When I get stumped on something, I move on to the next thing. (Any pointers or reference suggestions to use where I left them out would be greatly appreciated.)
