It's scary how we take the simplest gifts for granted until the day they're gone. We wake up expecting to hear our favorite song, see a sunrise, laugh with friends, or tell our parents "I'll be home soon" as if tomorrow is guaranteed. We rarely stop to realize that, for someone else, those ordinary moments have already become impossible.
It's easy to walk past people carrying invisible battles, assuming they're fine because they're smiling. But some smiles hide silence. Some hide darkness. Some hide pain that words could never fully explain. Looking into the eyes of someone who's endured such a fate reminds us how fragile life truly is-and how precious every ordinary moment can be.
Life is like a roller coaster. We never know what's waiting around the next turn. Sometimes the track is smooth, and everything feels effortless. Other times it's steep, twisted, and terrifying, giving us barely enough time to catch our breath before another challenge arrives.
The only thing we can truly control is whether we hold on. Our dreams, our hope, our loved ones-those are the safety harnesses that keep us from falling apart. The ride may leave us scared, exhausted, or even broken at times, but as long as we refuse to let go, we keep moving forward.
Maybe that's what courage really is. Not living without fear, pain, or uncertainty, but choosing to stay on the ride anyway. Because every storm eventually gives way to a sunrise, every tear makes room for a smile, and every ending quietly opens the door to a new beginning.
Perhaps the meaning of life isn't to avoid heartbreak, but to love so deeply that, even after losing something precious, we still find the strength to keep our hearts open. In the end, we don't remember how easy the journey was. We remember the people who held our hands through the hardest parts of it.
