Ellie Brewer. A girl of which luck and perfection themselves are jealous of but who as if has a ribbon tied around her eyes. She doesn't see the beauty of her heavenly life in which she's a goddess, it seems like her baby blue eyes play tricks on her making the girl she the world from a quirky, bent angle. She feasts on attention and compliments and comes to think that everybody owes her their life. Right down to her roots she's spoiled and rotten, just not the sort of kind softy every parent dreams of. But who knows maybe one day life will force her to shed her blemish less skin and regrow it the hard way

She is with her friends, she's supposed to be having a good time right? She can't she is wrapped up in hiding her life, her scars, her past. These are her friends, why can't she be calm and relax? Inside she wants to tell them, but she suddenly remembers that if she tells her story she will slowly die inside. Her friends seem like they care but, do they? If she told them would they understand, would they keep it a secret, would they tell someone? who knows but she couldn't take that chance she kept it to her self, as this was becoming her life. "I did it to myself" she thinks to her self. Her past consumes her, she can't have a day away, everything reminds her. She hides behind a smile, maybe a laugh once in a while but, why, why was she so afraid?

Abraham Cortez, a man of God, tries to provide and lead his family through the valleys of life. His son, Ricky, is seventeen and is learning about manhood and responsibility. Life comes crashing down on this family. Abraham loses his beloved job due to cuts. Abraham feels betrayed, develops thick skin, and will not let anybody in. This changes when meets Sebastian Castil, an educator, who has grown weary in the teaching profession. He can barely speak due to vocal overuse and has vocal nodules on his vocal words.
