Carmen never expected for her ex-boyfriend Tony to be invited to Thanksgiving Dinner. She told her mother about their problems, yet she still brought him over. Carmen takes us through the start of their three year relationship to the end and what caused their break-up. Then, she talks about why she's thankful for her ex.

This is the sequel to "Burn in Water, Drown in Fire". It's after Angel's graduation and her summer before her first year in college. She plans to have an awesome time, but the only problem is that her brother's dying. His powers are taking over his nervous system, but he's thought of a cure. The main ingredients? The boys. Devin sends Angel out to find Joey, Brian, and Zac--the only other people that experienced The Drug before it was revealed to the public and fixed into a Diabetes cure. Numerous things get in her way: Joey's girlfriend, Joey's "bond" Angel, Brian's loyalty...oh, and did I mention Zac is no where to be found?

I have not been active on here for a long time. The other story will not be updated with a new chapter. But that will be fine. Decided to work on something. Since at times I have hard times expressing my feelings and my gratitude to the people who done so much for me. And had to put up with me so often. Dedications towards them. It will not be enough to say my thank you's to them. But it is all I can do. My family that I met online, to my husband; who been through all my constant battles, to my best friend; who had to endure all the crap I had put her through but still stood by my side through it all. Everyone can read it. And maybe one day I can make more of these for new people, but I am not ready for that. So bear with me on that. My dedications~ And thank you to the @purelight5 for the cover.

The road you use safely on a daily basis is the same road where many others lost their precious lives. Be grateful. The temple in which God blessed you is the same temple other people too worship in, yet their lives are still in discord. Be grateful. The bed you used in the hospital, you got healed and were discharged is the same bed many other people breathed their last. Be grateful. The rain that made your field produce good crops is the same rain that devastated someone else's field. Be grateful. *Be grateful because whatever you have is not by your power, your might , your talent or your qualifications, but it's just the "Grace of God."
