Madeleine's mind wanders endlessly to find the place where she belongs, and that's what brings her to the college town of Hollow, where she attends Hollow University for eight and a half months out of the year. A psychology major, she's trying to figure out who she is and where she belongs when she's not downing coffee and pastries in an overlooked coffee shop. Josh's hands can't seem to fit correctly in his pockets, so they're always wrapped around a pen and a notebook. Though, around the Hollow residents he calls his neighbors, population five thousand (not counting the two thousand college students), he has the debatable reputation of not being able to keep his hands to himself. Through coffee, acoustic music, and whispered words in the wee hours of the morning, Madeleine and Josh find that sometimes, home's not a place; oftentimes, it's a person.

This story is meant as journal for self-reflection purposes only. As someone whose emotions and thoughts are in constant chaos, I'm still grappling in this reality that I'm having a hard time to manage these intrusive thoughts that I often ruminate a lot. It's making me lose my mind and I'm struggling on how to articulate and express myself, but at least in here, I'm going to vent here. Feel free to exit this story if you don't like it. You know how I write things out of random and you might not understand some things. I feel chaotic inside that it's too hard to explain. Take note that this is not your typical story, this only contains words of personal essay which is based from daily experiences of the writer itself. A daily life reflection of thoughts, feelings and even random topics to talk about. An outlet to release the burdens placed on my mind, and as a way of expressing my own view on things.
