ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO MARKUS ZUSAK (except Y/N Weber, obviously) - Max Vandenburg is a runaway Jew seeking for shelter. When he arrived at the Hubermann's house he asked one simple simple question to the man who opened the door; "Do you still play the accordion?" They helped him and he took shelter into their basement. - Y/N Weber, lives across from Hans and Rosa's home, their families knew each other - they did go to the same school after all! Ever since you started helping Liesel to read better, you all became closer. But when Rosa all of the sudden forbids you from visiting any longer, you can't help but become curious as to why.

A collection of my 'reading responses'. Follow me as I delve into the themes of a collection of different novels. Together, we will see how - even though they are works of fiction - they can relate to our lives and the societies we live in. In books, we find truth. In words, we see ourselves. Note; Throughout these 'reports' I use the term 'Year 12' to refer to teenagers age 16-18. However, due to some more mature themes some novels contain, I have decided to place my target audience within New Adult. Others underneath this target are of course welcome to continue reading, however it is at their own caution. I do not own the books that the reports focus on, but the reports themselves are my work. Book reviews for some of my favorite books! I'm hoping that doing this will help me get a better feel for what makes a good book, thus improving my own writing. I'm also hoping you'll share your own favorites with me! My favorite genre is fantasy, so that's what this will be, mostly. I also like a lot of historical fiction, too.

WW2 is raging on, and the people of Germany are working to try and win. That includes Adeline Kohler, a girl who was adopted into the Hubermann family. At first it was just her and her parents; then her and her foster parents. Then Liesel Meminger came into the picture. But perhaps the one who influenced her the most was Max Vandenburg, who came late in 1940. Despite the risk of someone finding out, the family hides the Jew, and that's when everyone's life changes forever...

Heyo readers! This is my first story on Wattpad. I read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak for my social studies project and chose to write an alternate ending for the project. I am going to upload it here on Wattpad so everyone can enjoy. Please don't be afraid to criticize my work.

*COMPLETED* "Liesel, what's the matter?" Max's concern was that of a mother's, so flat, but so serious. "Max, there is no one to thank left." Liesel changed her view to peer at the dusty floor. She missed Max's countenance gaping mouth and large eyes afflicted by her words. Not only had Max stolen the sky, he stole Liesel's heart too. Now, in Post-WWII Germany, the Allies have brought relief. Life is just beginning to come out of hiding, ready to blossom and flourish as it once did before. No one no longer cowers in fear. But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door? NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it. However, if you don't care about the movie/book/spoilers, then it still makes for an eye opening, post-WWII fan fiction. Personally, I feel this is my best piece of writing I've ever shared on Wattpad. I hope everyone enjoys! NOTE: I DO NOT own any of the characters or the cover picture!
