During a routine case, Jane suffers an injury he considers minor. But as the situation worsens, his stubborn refusal to seek help leads to a breakdown that forces his team to confront the truth.

Somewhere in a big, white castle lived a princess named Teresa Lisbon. Her father was the almighty king of Olisipo. Somewhere in a dark forest where nobody dared to go, lived a father with his daughter. Patrick and Charlotte Jane were thieves, banned by the king after Angela Jane (Patrick's wife) had beem executed. Stealing is their way to survive. So what happens when both worlds collide?

Finding a birthday present for Teresa Lisbon seemed like an impossible thing to do. At least to Patrick Jane. But then he came up with an idea: He asked her to write down seven things, she always wanted to do but simply couldn't and Lisbon complied. Neither of them knew what awaited them but ghosts from the past, drunken confessions and learning how to juggle were only a few of these things.

I really liked what Lisbon gave to Jane for his birthday, but ever since I knew that in the episode 7x06 they'd showed us Jane's birthday, I've always wanted this to be his gift. Read to find out. Sorry for any mistakes. Disclaimer: I don't own the mentalist or its characters
