The test that can bring you happiness or kill you in a instant. I am now 16 and able to be picked to be in The Princess Testing. Its a honor they say. You are lucky to be picked they say. But they are all wrong. Let the game begin.

Tris doesn't want to take part in the selection, she's happy living a boyfriend free life and sneaking into Dauntless training sessions before going home. To nothing. Abnegation is the bottom caste, the public servants, wearing grey clothes that stay ripped and worn for months. Heat crept up my cheeks as I averted my eyes and focused on the wine in front of me. As I took a sip, the world sort of faded, and there was Maxon, standing tall. Right in front of me, with a bright smile overtaking his face. He put a hand on my shoulder and guided me to the dance floor. It was empty. Suddenly, out of nowhere, an orchestra appeared and started playing the slowest music I had ever heard. He put a hand on my waist as I looped my arms around his neck. We swayed to the music for a moment before he dipped his head downwards and tilted my chin. I closed my eyes, anticipating the sweet kiss that would soon be on my lips. We were getting closer, and closer, and closer. . . Suddenly, the arms around my waist disappeared. I opened my eyes, only to see the orchestra gone and America playing the violin instead. Maxon was right in front of her, with an adoring smile on his face. She stopped playing, and pulled Maxon down for the kiss that I lost. I screamed. This story shows an alternate ending to The One, the ending that would be very real. Maxon chose Kriss and America is in Carolina with her friends and family, heartbroken. Maxon and Kriss are getting married in May, in five months. Kriss is over the moon, but Maxon is distracted. He misses America and toys with the idea that he made a mistake. Can Maxon or America survive without the other? * * * All rights go to Kiera Cass, I didn't write the masterpiece that is the Selection.

There was never a rebel attack. Maxon chose Kris over America. They did the deed that night. America has chosen to live on the house that Maxon bought. It wasn't long before she found out that she was carrying Maxon's children. Suprisingly, the Elite was called back to the palace not long after Maxon's choosing of Kris. A secret was revealed that Maxon wasn't the heir to the throne but a brother of his from his father's affair. That brother had chosen to hold a selection for his queen with the four elite members; Natalie, America, Celeste, and Elise. Would America find herself attach to Maxon over again or with his brother?
