Jackie has been sick for the longest time. Ever since she was young, she's had cancer attacks over and over again, but has some how always been able to get better. As the years pass the relationship between Jackie and her four brothers and one sister get stronger. Jackie's younger sister, Julie, is also struggling. She has spent her life helping her sister through the cancer and dealing with her acoholic mother. So Julie is in a need of an older sister now more then ever. Is the sister bond able to push through the cancer Jackie has? And also, something funny has been going on with Julie's best friend, what is up with that? Read to find out;)

In my English 11 class, we got to pick one of the famous Harris Burdick mystery pictures & captions and write a story for it, and this is what I had come up with. We had to use the characters in the picture, as well as the caption. Here's what bull that I came up with, but had a ton of fun writing. It details a strange, or maybe not strange at all, day in a small, isolated town called July, which daunted by the presence of the town lake dubbed "Samhain." Rated PG-13. It's a wee bit macabre.
