Since I'm quite shy, writing is the only way to tell people my side of the story. I'm willing to showcase this part of my identity to you. The part of my identity that I chose to focus on for this project are my dreams. My dreams will be divided into 3 sections: Elementary school, Middle school, and High school. The 3 poems will showcase how I currently feel or felt in those environments, and how that influenced my dreams of the future. The 3 poems will build upon one another by showing how I felt about what I wanted to be as I grew up. Poetry is the only way you'll ever find out what I'm actually thinking or feeling deep within. This is the familiar story of the boy who falls for his best friend without knowing how, or why. The boy Izaya is met with a huge amount of self-taught shame when he realizes that his feelings are romantic. On top of that, hes never felt so alone in his life. It may finally be time for him to purge these feelings, and take control of his destiny again.
