Interlude 5.1 - Aftermath Features emotional vulnerability, questionable Vulcan coping strategies, slow-burn romance, mild sensuality, and two highly intelligent officers making spectacularly complicated decisions about their feelings. No explicit content. Only emotional damage. Following the events of Phase Shift, Commander Spock and Commander Francis Lancaster are forced to confront a truth neither Vulcan discipline nor human instinct can solve alone. As the Enterprise moves on, both officers must decide what kind of future is possible when grief, longing and trust become stronger than control. A character-focused interlude between Episodes 5 and 6 of Strange Resonances.

Something changed in Spock's eyes, or at least Kirk saw it now. There's a tingle, a shine whenever he found Jim's sight. Now he witnessed it, Jim could only think about that light in the dark eyes. The missions suddenly went superfluous, and the conversations boring, the captain now had a new desire... Find what made Spock's eyes to shine so brightly.

The Enterprise is changing. Captain Pike is leaving. The crew is dispersing. Spock stands on the threshold of a new era-but where does he go from here? He has spent his life fighting for independence, so why does the thought of moving forward alone weigh so heavily on him now? Meanwhile, Christine Chapel returns to the ship with a single goal-to reach Exo III. But her path crosses with a name she never expected. Decisions, departures, and returns. The Enterprise will never be the same again. Perhaps it's time for them to change as well.

This is a bribe fic written for my companion, Bradley. It's a mashing of AoS and ToS and I've smudged some canon to make it work. (I know, ugh, but I wanted to make it to Bradley's specifics) Things of note: This is set in a mix of AoS and ToS. The mechanics of the academy are more similar to ToS, meaning Kirk won't become a captain in two years, but rather the original 14. However, more like AoS, Spock is currently teaching at the academy after working under Pike. And, like AoS, he rejected the VSA. McCoy, in this, is older than Kirk, but less so than in the original. This ignores Kirk's years as an ensign and a Lt, and ignores the canon fact that Leonard never went to the academy. This universe slightly changes starfleet requirements for medical officers.

Set between the end of TOS and the beginning of TMP, Christine Chapel, serving a short tour on the USS Yorktown with a fresh MD and Starfleet Doctor's certification, beams down to a colony for annual medical checkups, only to find a mysterious disease has rendered all of the colonists unconscious and dying. "Breath Control" is a 6700-ish word short story, told in 8 scenes, and began posting on March 17th, 2019. The story is complete and the posting target is one scene per day until it's done, but if I miss a day (because sometimes life gets in the way), I'll probably do two the next day. This is a work of fan fiction taking place in the Star Trek prime universe just after The Original Series time frame. The rights to Star Trek and all associated names and characters are held by CBS-Paramount and no infringement is intended. He took Jim; they've been shoved back into their cage. Leonard isn't sure how much time they have left before they're forced to the arena so, while he still has time, he has something to confess. (takes place during the Bread and Circuses episode when Spock and Leonard are in the cell alone)
