Maximum Yvan, her brother, chose to leave Muerta and move to the Kingdom to pursue his dream of being a renowned scientist. Their mother died giving birth to Mayumi, while their father was killed in an ambush in Muerta City. Mayumi didn't want to leave Muerta and defend the city at all costs, but all changed when a dream began to bother her. A strange dream with the potential to change things. This is a book of poems that I have written over the last 7 or 8 years. I am a 20 year old female that has been in and out of foster homes for the first 4 years of my life. I was taken by the DHS from my mom when I was 18 months old because she couldn't take care of me and was into a lot of different drugs. I was raped by my foster brother and some of his friends between the ages of 3 and 5. And many other things happened in the foster home that scarred me. So yes I have a lot of trauma, and you will be able to see it in my writings. Most of this book contains poems that I have written myself and then there are a couple more or less rants as a way to express myself as a writer. I find poetry very cathartic and therapeutic. I found out that I was good at poetry when I was only 6. But sadly most of those poems are lost. I really started saving and keeping track of my poems when I turned 12 because I was diagnosed with bipolar depression stage 1. That's when I realised that poetry wasn't just something I did or just a way to write. For me it was a part of me, it was a way to express myself when no one would listen. Even more than that it was a creative way to express the deep dark secrets that I had been hiding about my trauma and all the things that happened to me at a very young age. -Myra Hendrix

An excerpt from my novel where Rayne argues with Dani. You could say their lies caught up to them. Rayne was the exiled prince of Lior, but escaped and met Dani. He told her nothing about his past, and four years passed in growing friendship. But when Dani was shot in the event of Rayne's father trying to reclaim his lost son, Rayne disappears. Dashiell is able to save her and bring her to Eirwen for treatment, but it's too late. The dragon blood had already mixed in with hers and a transfusion had taken place. Dani was no longer human. Three years pass in a place that is alien to Dani, when suddenly Rayne reappears. Now he must learn the truth about those three years he was absent in her life, but can telling the truth really make the situation better? I'll let you decide that.
