Lizzie has been a mutant for as long as she can remember. All her life she just wanted friends her own age to hang out with. Then Lizzie meets the turtles who she instantly becomes friends with but the five of them soon realize they're not the only mutants in New York City

The morning streets of New York City glow under the rising sun. Mutants and yokai are now free to walk among humans after the Kraang invasion - a fragile peace that finally lets everyone breathe. Among them is Y/n, a tall, intelligent, composed young woman with a natural "serious face," porcelain skin, black hair in a low messy bun, and sharp grey eyes. Despite her calm and reserved appearance, she's smart, witty, unselfish, and surprisingly funny when she wants to be - even capable of rapping (though she keeps that secret). She's also April O'Neil's childhood best friend, closer than sisters. While walking, she spots four mutant turtles and a human girl taking photos. She instantly recognizes the turtles - the heroes who saved New York. One of them, the turtle with the purple bandana - Donatello Hamato - catches her attention. Y/n and April reunite joyfully, hugging and laughing - surprising the turtles who didn't even know April had a secret bestie. Donnie, meanwhile, completely malfunctions upon seeing Y/n - frozen mid-sentence, eyes wide, mind short-circuiting. The book will be based on the TMNT 19's movies. They were a source of entertainment for me as a child and I still enjoy them, even if they are quite old movies. I will be adding my own four turtles who are sisters who will be allies with the turtles, taking part in their adventures.

The short version, no one can see the real mikey, but only a fake who acts happy all the time. He could smack the back of your head and you could mistake it for a shoulder pat.

I can't be here another minute. People were smiling at me like they had clothes hangers stuck in their mouths. They were all congradulating me on getting a hot new life. Like the massacre I saw from a month ago was nothing I can't be here another minute. The flood of smiling faces was making me nauseous. The constant quick remarks about how loser my foster family was made me mad. Like they didn't mean anything. Like their death was a gladly welcomed event, not a terrible tragedy. I can't be here another minute. The jokes regarding my old life weren't funny. Or brilliant, or smart or even bad. They were disgusting. As if there was something funny about having your whole life explode in your face at six a.m. I can't be here another minute. I have to get out of here.
