This is a TWD fanfic where Rick Grimes is old, and his grandson, James, is becoming a police officer, taking after his grandfather. Life is simpler now without the threat of walkers, but that doesn't mean that life isn't perfect. Michonne recently passed away, and Rick's health is declining. When the world went to shit, Avery didn't spot any difference between this and the world she lived before. Some would say she was even relieved when it happened. She was doing good with her baby brother and her best friend. Well that was before she lost them due to a herd of walkers. She knew they were alive, she just couldn't find them leaving her all alone in this world. Until one day when Alex found her hiding in an abandoned house, bleeding out. That's where their journey began.

The apocalypse doesn't care how old you are. Juno believed in promises. She liked bright colors. She saved her favorite toy for her favorite people and spent hours in the kitchen doing crafts and baking with her mama. She stood up for the kids who got picked on at school, and she believed that if something broke, it could be fixed. The world ended anyway.

The reason behind this was because both Candice and Jane had a gift that ran in their family and it was the gift to communicate with the dead, they could see ghosts of the people who had passed away and they could communicate to them and it began too much for Jane's father and caused him to leave them and go back to living where he was from in King's County. It was hard for Jane because she loved her father more than anything but he still saw her on some weekends when he wasn't working, Jane was getting ready to go and see her father when everything changed and people began attacking each other. This is the story of Jane Walsh the girl who hears whispers...

While Negan was helping Gabriel keep track of Alexandria's rations early in the day, he glances up every now and then from his note pad to see the life around him that kept busy. As the walls were being hammered back up and Alexandrian's were helping fix up remaining houses from the whisper's after math, Negan catches a glimpse of Judith talking to some kids just before he witnesses something that makes his blood boil.
