For years, Madison, a 23 year old writer, has been part of the fandom for Daydream, a YA romantic drama based on her favorite book series. After several seasons of increasingly poor production, the company behind the show begins ruining the story beyond what any Daydreamer can imagine. As the fandom descends into chaos, Madison discovers Daydream's behind-the-scenes issues may be a lot bigger than just bad writing. Madison's obsession with the fandom drama grows, and she quickly learns that the internet decides who deserves sympathy based not on harm, but on how "seriously" a story is allowed to be taken.
