Rin Hattori didn't wish for this - certainly not. All he wanted to do was go to the studio, or maybe even the park to get some fresh air, and yet, here he was, whisked away to a different world that had magic. At first, like a reasonable human being, he thought that perhaps, the universe had abandoned him in this fever dream. Was he so close to death that god had decided to tempt him? Put them in a spot where that they can't tell anyone about your past deeds? The only thing to combat this? Keep it quiet, lie, hide, and try to fly under the radar.
