A story about an ugly girl. I wrote this for a class this past semester. I wanted to address how ugliness is treated. I believe personhood shouldn't rely on beauty. I have been ugly all my life, and people would rather deny this fact than allow ugly people to be equal. I hope I can make people feel seen with this story.

Rose Smithson is ugly, and she hates it. One day, while crying in the bathrooms, she gets visited by a fairy who will grant her one wish. Rose is overjoyed, knowing exactly what she wants. A short story about Jane, who is best friends with Austin. Jane is deeply in love with Austin, but Austin has no clue. You'd think Jane would just come right out and tell Austin how she feels, but with Austin's girlfriend, Melanie, by his side that's impossible. Jane is stuck and has no clue what to do. Will Jane get over her love for Austin or will she continuosly love him even though it hurts to see him with another girl.
