She was trained to save lives. No one told her the one who would need saving was herself. In the unforgiving corridors of a teaching hospital, a young surgical trainee learns that mastering the scalpel is only half the battle. In the midst of the twenty four hour shifts, sleepless nights, bloody scrubs and abusive colleagues, she's crushed by the relentless pressure to prove herself every single day. But the hardest battles aren't the ones of the operating table. They are in the casual humiliation disguised as teaching. In the double standards hiding behind "seniority". In the careers quietly sabotaged to feed someone's ego. In being called "difficult" when a man would be called "confident". In being expected to be brilliant, but never intimidating. Resilient, but never angry. Ambitious, but never threatening. A woman, but also not. This is not just my story. It's the story of all those women before me, with me and after me, in a job that is neither forgiving nor accepting of a women just trying to belong.

Pero Sa araw ng Digmaan ay siyang pag kasilang ng Natatanging makakapatay at makakatalo sa nag palubug ng lahat. Pero bago niya magawa yun ay marami pa siyang mapag dadaanan.

Everything hurts to the point we just shut everybody and everything out, we can't sleep, eat, or even think. Everybody wants to feel nothing. We feel empty and shallow. Everybody wants to shout to world that they're not okay, but the words are stuck, they're tied up in our tongues. We're stuck in our thoughts and feelings to the point where we're no longer alive. Everybody has their own story and so does That Girl. Everybody is afraid to tell their stories and being vulnerable, she was too. But its time to show people that they're not alone..

Okay this is just me complaining about whatever I feel like complaining about. Which now that i think about is almost everything. Basically if I don't get these things out there I would probably explode, which wouldn't be fun people would have to scrape me off the walls. That and I need something to do while I'm up until 2:00 am unable to sleep (hence the name NiteOwl) so yeah get ready for this rant type thing. Sam, diminutive of Samson, moved into the neighbourhood when he was just 4 years old. At the time it was saddening because his parents had to migrate over from England due to the Vietnam war and they had left everything there. With very little money they appeared in our town, Asaba, and kept to themselves the whole time. They never chatted or associated to anyone in the hood, and when it came to neighbourhood functions, they always skipped. Everyone felt sorry for them, but it was hard to help when they were so secluded. Besides, everyone else had their own problems, we were living in the most criminal area of the poorest slum of Asaba, there was no level lower than this.

Blake is a 12yrold boy, He has 3 siblings. Paul the oldest, Laura the 2nd oldest, Judy the youngest. Blake is inbetween Laura and Judy. Their parents are bailey home. His father doesn't listen to him. And Paul is a brute. His Mother is out doing whatever the hell she wants. How long will it take till judy's inncence won't keep Blake's chin high. (This isn't a public book btw, its just for Moi!)
