This is a story about love and most especially, a story about cruelty. She's one of the most independent and brave woman everyone knows. She always wore out smiles even in her lowest times, but . . . beneath those smiles are the cries she made in silence, that no one knows about except her. And even if she always wanted to be brave and independent, there really are times that she can't hold it anymore. Instead of speaking it out to someone she trusted most, she's also afraid to reveal it. Because she believed that, 'what if the people she told her problems to always ended up worrying about her? She didn't want to burden anyone, because she believed that if it's your problem, it's yours alone- not anyone else's. After all, doesn't everyone have their own problems too?' So, will there be a someone who's willing to open their heart and soul just to accept her once they knew the real 'her'? Once they will know her vulnerability and weak side? Would they still be able to stay with her, even after knowing she's like that?

I don't know how long I stayed there, kneeling to the ground and staring at my parents' corpses. Their blood stained most of my body as I rubbed my face trying to get it off. I furrow my eyebrows as I notice the drops of blood on the ground, not knowing if those were from my tears or injuries. The others have managed to distract them enough from hurting me, but I can't seem to get up and leave my parents alone. I hiccup as I look over to where the monsters that killed my parents are standing. My heart drops and my eyes widen as I see a familiar little girl with strawberry blonde hair being restrained. "W-What are you doing?!". I feel the panic settle in again. "LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE!". I whisper a 'no' as someone holds me back and I cry out as I feel the pain shoot up my arm from the strong hold. I try to see through my tears but can't tell who the guy is. I look over to my sister and notice they were holding another boy with us. The guard behind me sighs, and goosebumps run over my arms as he takes me over to what seems their leader before they start whispering. They both nod to each other before they start approaching us. The last thing I remember was the boy yelling "NO!" before darkness took me out.

A young black girl and a young white boy fall in love with each other in a helpless world, when segregation is still popular in America. Will their love last or will it perish early before their eyes?

Humans have not a single clue that there are hybrids living right next to them. With the exceptions of a few. The government being of those few.
