This is an unfinished draft of a story I'm writing for fun - slowly, in between life. Set in a quiet town, nandemonai follows a few ordinary people as strange dreams, small choices, and an old forest begin to connect their lives in unexpected ways. It's not fast, loud, or action-heavy - it's a calm, slow-burn story focused on atmosphere, characters, and mystery. I'm posting this early and unfinished, so feedback is more than welcome.

Starting near the end of the movie this series introduces us to the relationship Nick and Judy are starting to begin. After having a rough start it stabilized eventually in a timespan of over a year, but new problems are already waiting: personally and professionally. There will be old antagonists again as well as new ones - will our beloved couple master these new challenges, too?

There was thud and John turned and looked at his partner who in an instant had turned ghost white, all except for the blood that began to trickle from his nose. As he reached out to help him, John noticed that his partner was pinned upright against the wall by a thin metal piece that went through the side of his head. Then a shadow flashed in the corner of his eye which seemed to fill the room with darkness and his body with pain. The last thing he remembered while laying in the dark was the screams
