After the unexpected death of her father, Lola is sent away to America. Alaska to be exact, to live with her grandfather Dick. Here she realizes just why her mother left in the first place. A book. James teaches Lola the life lessons she despised H.H. for- love, sex, intimacy with all strings attached. She falls hard for the man. Harder than she had expected. So what happens when her mother falls into the picture, or when the police get suspicious about the pairs closeness? Will anyone truly understand the hardship, or will Lola resort to the family secret, and live out her best Lolita?
