(By the way, I'd like to specify that this story takes places after season one. But since I'm not sure if or when Unicorn Academy gets a second season, everything in this book happens before season two. If season two happens, I'll write the events where they fit into the book.)

This is a YA fantasy novella, written for ONC 2026. Sixteen-year-old Kathrin has grown up within the walls of a castle always locked in winter, under the care of her adoptive father, the winter lord, and she's never wanted anything more. Then Kathrin finds a unicorn shivering in the snow, and forms a magical bond with the creature. She must leave the castle to train with other unicorn riders and learn to wield her new magic: that of all four seasons. not only is the forest kingdom outside her home too warm and too colorful, but the other riders see her beloved wintry father figure as a villain, a dark lord who stole the magic of winter for himself and had to be locked away in a castle. As Kathrin struggles to carry out a secret mission for the winter lord, she learns more about his past and questions everything she's ever known.
