Blazely treated high school like it was a classified military program. Wake up. Study. Submit. Repeat. Feelings? Deleted from system. Probably never installed. He was cold, strict, and allergic to anything "unnecessary," which included small talk, group chats, and people who smiled too much before 7 AM.
Aris on the other hand was... noise in human form.
Aris was loud in the worst possible way for Blazely's peace. He talked too much. Asked too many questions. Laughed at things that weren't even funny. Basically, a walking disturbance.
Blazely decided, logically, scientifically, and very responsibly: he would ignore him. Unfortunately... Aris did not get the memo. Somehow, Aris kept spawning in his life like a glitch the system refused to patch.
But they have moments where they eat siopao together, random lunch time together, 7-Eleven rides where Aris insisted on driving like it was a shared responsibility of the universe. And moments where Aris always picked him just to tease him... and Blazely, against all internal policies, never stopped him.
Somewhere between all of that, Blazely made an exception.
Then another.
Then too many to pretend it didn't matter.
And that was the problem.
Blazely realized something terrifying:
He might be in love with the most legally irritating person in school. Years later, he still doesn't know how it escalated. But he has accepted one undeniable truth:
He could survive finals week, sleep deprivation, and group project betrayal-but not the moment he looked at Aris and chose to stay away over staying.
And if falling was the beginning, then this... was how minds learned to break while still remembering they once fell together.
