The Murmurs turned into harsh whispers as I heard footsteps inching closer. I sunk further into the bed and shut my eyes tightly at the sound of the door creaking open. "Who are you fooling? He placed the dark sea green box before me that was secured with a golden ribbon. The silky fabric slipped between my small fingers as I pulled onto the ribbon, opening the box.
