Emily Patterson was only a few months old when her parents died, leaving her to be adopted by her godparents, Emily and Mitch Patterson. She loved her parents, and they loved her, but she knew that she would always be a shadow of the son they lost; the brother who died decades before she was born. She loved Luke, even without knowing him. His old music, his first guitar, he was the reason she had fallen in love with music in the first place. But it could never replace the hole in her chest, the hollow space carved out by a brother she would never know. What if unsaid Emily wasn't about Luke's mum but his twin sister who just happens to be Reggie's girlfriend and Alex's best friend. Luke wrote unsaid Emily after the two got into a huge fight about her dating Reggie and him not spending any time with her. The fight was big and they both said things they shouldn't have and that lend them to stop taking for a year. On the night of the Orpheum Emily snuck in to make peace with Luke, but when she saw him looking so happy she didn't want to ruin his big night, so she just snuck back out. When she got home, she heard that they died.
