"A" doesn't want to know anything about "J" anymore and has definitely cut off every relationship, returning to an old life. "A" did everything to forget, throwing headlong into work and attending a different club every night. But love is an invisible thread that inevitably binds you to the person who stole your heart, to the one who destroyed it. And now that heart is reduced to pieces so small that "A" doesn't really know where to start again. "J" made a mistake, a huge mistake, allowing once again others to decide. "J" did it to prove something, but to whom? Certainly not to themselves. That's what keeps repeating itself, but, now that everything's has screwed up, "J" realized that it was probably all a lie. The entire life was a lie. Until that very moment, even "J" was a fiction. "J" has been wearing a mask his whole life, hiding behind fake feelings, behind unreal facades, behind paper mache walls that now crumble at the first blow of the wind. Will "A" meet other people? Will "A" replace "J"? Will "A" still love "J"? Will "J" find out any real feelings? Will "J" make things right with "A"? Will "J" fight to win back "A"? • ~ [Completed √] ~ •

This is my entry to the Wattpad 2020 Valentine's contest. Crystal is a member of the Jamestown settlement in 1610. She sneaks out of the fort one day and walks into the woods nearby, where she meets a Native American boy she calls Jay. Jay is able to speak to her using English he learned from trading with English settlers. The story is about how they try to show Crystal's parents that not all Natives are bad. Cynics of love take notice! There's a sassy personality out there you can totally relate to. And like our protagonist who had navigated through life as a disbeliever in anything smacking of romance, his life was changed forever via his smartphone. It was an epiphany in the form of Siri, the ubiquitous Apple iOS assistant, couched in all her whimsical and ironic glory. Over time, and through a series of our character's mundane inquiries--gradually waxing more personal, Siri's tepid charm and intellect eventually bewitched his lonely heart.
