"BEING SAMMY FIGMENT THE THIRD GHOSTWRITER" ______________________________________________________ as a writer and mostly a writer of humor becoming sammy figment the third ghostwriter was a dream come true. I enjoyed the audience laughing at a joke I wrote, I write write and before sammy arrived all my writing was trying to get published and sometimes I would enter contests for writers and I also attended poetry events, in doing all that my writing was not quite a fulfillment for me. I love writing but just couldn't get it to the audience. when I became a ventriloquist all my writing was fulfilling of all my writing desires and sammy figment the third desires too! when writing material for Sammy I write with smile because my imagination is running wild and free. I look at sammy when performing on stage to read him like a book, I mean sammy is not only entertaining the audience but me too! the joy to see my writing in the physical being heard in front of a live audience. I struggled as a young boy to get my writing material out into the physical world such as books, magazines, etc. today I am overwhelmed to be Sammy figment the third ghostwriter, it's amazing how a big dream can come true on a small scale. I write and rewrite, I edit then give the complete finished script to Sammy and let him run with it. being the ghostwriter for Sammy is so much fun because their is so many ways that sammy delivers my writing material. sometimes writing materials are put to the side that needs improvement or until a better idea comes up for that material but it's never put in the trash. I have had a setup line sitting on my desk for weeks before sammy and I find a punchline for it. in theory in rehearsals the setup line is repeated then Sammy punchline is trying out to be added to complete the joke. sometimes there's many setup lines and one punchline during my writing but basically the setup line is the subject/topic in my writing so I keep the same setup and change punchlines.

some people think being a ventriloquist is very low on the show business list of careers..let me just say those ventriloquists on those famous television talent shows have no clue on how to market that opportunity..let's speak on America got talent..in my eyes AGT is the new Johnny Carson tonight show for stand up comedians for ventriloquists, understand back in the day all not most all comedians wanted to get on the Johnny Carson tonight show, because it was a career booster, and if Johnny Carson asked a comedian to come sit next to him, then you were a hit!..I say as a ventriloquist take advantage of trying to get on these television talent shows and contests no matter how many times you win or lose..why?..it's not because you want to win the contest, it's not because you want to be on television,it's because ventriloquist Willie Tyler and Lester said "thank God for the internet people still know who we are"...think about that for a moment...when vaudeville ended Edgar Bergen said the same exact words about radio..take advantage of new opportunities,my show business manager once said keep your eyes and ears open and mouth closed, so if you hear about a new opportunity that can help your ventriloquist career go check it out and be a good ventriloquist keeping your mouth shut, ,keep it to yourself and if others do know about the opportunity be the first in line, those television talent shows are going to bring you more opportunities and more jobs, keep a list of all your big opportunities to put on your resume, and remember everyone has a birthday, after being on television people pay top dollars for your ventriloquist act or show, just remember as a ventriloquist there's a lot of jobs out there for you, trust me at age sixteen Sammy and I work work work, shows and shows,ha! ha! pulling a ventriloquist trunk all over california,my first job was ventriloquism, at age thirteen about eighth grade,so if you can not find a opportunity, creat them yourself, you're not a dummy.

on a very hot day in california,I was working at a real job in the real world, a man new to the united states of america said to me,"we can do what ever we want" the reason he said that is because he did not want to follow the rules at this real job in the real world,I am african american and the man was not,I said to the man I am going to remember that for a very long time, the man had a confused look on his face,he said with a thick accent "why what did I say?" not angry but with true passion pointing at my heart,I said "YOU can do what YOU want but I can not" he looked at me with pride and said "come on bro,yes we can do what ever we want" I walked away quickly, as I am walking away he says "we all going to die anyway"....in that man's statement is a spirit. The man had a selfish spirit, understand in order for someone to do what ever that enter their mind, someone else has to suffer, just imagine me wanting to drive my car as fast as I want on the streets ,who cares about traffic laws,I ÇAN DO WHAT EVER I WANT! and buddy if you are in my way when I am speeding down the street, who cares we all going to die anyway.. someone put that kind of information in that man's mind for him be thinking that way, we must be careful what we say and do to people, here's a true life example, when I was in middle school I had a girlfriend I was very, very, just, awful and rude to,she was so nice to me but I couldn't figure out why I treated her that way until one day after college the spirits answered that question and the answer was, my older brother as a child abused me so I wanted victory.. what do victims want they want victory so they seek out victims for revenge..I work at a very abusive job,for some reason theses people want revenge of me, someone put information in their mind about me and I truly believe that they think they can do what ever they want for their victory satisfaction.
