Veronica is haunted by visions of her former love's supposed suicide. During the night she sees him in her room staring. When she wakes up in the morning, he's gone. Was this all some terrifying nightmare. Veronica has become a famous mystery writer. What the fans of her books don't know is. All she wrote about was true. When she finds a cryptic message at her local coffee house, Veronica has a strange hope that her killer is alive somewhere in hiding.........

Veronica Sawyer is back in high school, this time as a teacher. She's determined to make school an enjoyable place for her students, and when she gets stuck teaching the 1999 equivalents of the Heathers, she's ready to shut it down as quickly as possible.
