The rewrite of season 4 of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy because I still refuse to accept that it's cannon. (oh and it's mostly Five's pov) THE IDEA: Season 4 *but* Five gets a puppy (and everything makes sense). Read it or I'll haunt you in your sleep. Enjoy!

Or at least that's what he thinks. Lies spin out of control. Secrets are soon coming out the woodwork. The very man who'd found Nickel and his sisters on that burning bridge is the same man who had made a deal with the enforcers, a deal so inhumane that sends Nickel spiralling, panicking about who he can trust. An Arcane AU in which Felicia survives the bridge riot and becomes dependent on Shimmer at the hands of Singed, Jinx and Nickel are biologically Silco's and Vi is biologically Vander's.

She couldn't handle this, not right now! She's gotta. . gotta get somewhere to think. Yea. Think. And maybe come up with a new plan. All is not lost in Piltover and Zaun. In this AU, Jinx was too distraught at Silco's death to actually fire upon the council. She simply races away, leaving Vi and Caitlyn behind, and the council intact. The story directly follows the events of Arcane, Season 1. Without one last final act, is there enough hope that Vi can still help Powder? Will the undercity still be granted independence without Silco at the helm? Will anybody finally get the hug they deserve? I'm going to give my best effort to keep the themes of the show prevalent in this story, and to keep my story relevant to the show. Character motivations will match, as closely as possible, based on my interpretations of them in Arcane. They may not be the same that you interpreted, but I will not be making wildly different assumptions for the sake of "Well this is what I want to read." If you just want a non-canon continuation of Arcane to hold you over until season 2, then hopefully, if I do it correctly, this will be just that.

Slowly, ever so slowly, I open my eyes and turn my head. I am not surprised that I am not alone in the room. At window that lets me see the cherry trees in front of the hospital, Viktor is standing with a half peeled apple in his hand. He turns around and smiles, stepping closer to the bed, wiping some tears off my cheek with a gentle touch. "Did you have a sad dream again?" He asks while trying to sound cheerful so I don't notice the tears that are still visible in the corners of his eyes. I shake my head and manage to smile a little. "I was dreaming about our time in Barcelona for the Grand Prix and how you cried when I told you to leave me behind."

Yuri finds that his first friend means something more to him than just a friend. "So many things in this world, we will never understand. No one understands love, but it's a great feeling."
