However the "years of desperation for connection" might have something more to tell Lancer usually serves the mimickers(pretending to be politicians), preventing the others from learning the truth about these politicians.

Hell, No! His days of helping people are over! If people can't appreciate his efforts as a nice guy, then they can fear him as the newest villain of Poppytown! As Ethan Sun, Ebenezer would terrorize everyone who ever gave him grief before and make them regret the day they chose to treat him so horribly. He'd become the worst villain his hometown had ever seen. That was the idea. But Ethan would soon find out that being a villain was easier said than done. And during his journey for revenge, he'll discover more about himself and wonder if he even wants to become one in the first place.

Going out at night has become synonymous with a death sentence. The Sovereign sees conspiracies everywhere - a wrong gesture, a word out of place. Even buying bread could cost you everything. The rebels believed they were bringing hope. They only made everything more dangerous. Now the underground doesn't just fear the queen - it fears itself. And yet there are those who haven't stopped.
