His Death Dancers are the souls of those who died too soon, and whose life was filled with happiness and kindness. Their job is to search for the souls that are standing on the edge, and ready to jump. They find the people who Death isn't ready to welcome just yet, and talk them down. Ellie is a new Death Dancer. With an inner sense of where she needs to be, she jumps around the city, talking people off ledges, full pill bottles and sharp blades. She gives them hope, friendship, a guardian angel. Until she Dances her way onto a ledge with Death Himself.

What if your body doesn't always do what you want it to do? For June, this isn't a question, but a daily reality. As a fourteen-year-old with cerebral palsy, frequently dropping stuff and being stared at by complete strangers is nothing out of the ordinary. Other than that, life is great, until her parents decide to move to California. With all her friends miles away and nobody there to protect her from boys stealing your lunch, school becomes a lot more complicated than it had been. Then, she befriends Sam Redstone, a shy boy who'd always been invisible to others. June's days improve drastically with Sam by her side, and when she meets his older brother Nathan, she finally believes her cousin Valentina might have been right about sexy California guys. Slowly, she and Nathan develop a unique friendship, one that, June finds herself hoping, might someday turn into something more. But even Marta realizes she cannot hide forever, and staying hidden gets even harder when her mother decides they are leaving Germany for America. Trying so desperately to cling to her silence, Marta realizes her only relief is writing letters. Until she meets Emma, and the families she is forced to stay with. While the families try to help Marta find her voice; Marta realizes the only way to sail towards her family, is to sail away from her silence.

What if you were told you were nothing, but then you became everything? After being abandoned by her parents and abused by the closest thing she ever had for family, Ariella Mathews has no hope for a better life and spends her days only hoping for as little pain as possible. This fifteen year old girl only knew a life of fear and hatred, she never believed that there would be a place for her and her Power of Healing since the Troupe, a group of nomads, told her that she, and it, were nothing. All of that changed when the Troupe turned to the City of Shona, the Capital of Powered People, for protection against people who want to kill them. There was no one there. The world seemed empty. I saw people. But they didn't see me. That's when I became invisible. People saw me as a cleaner. That's who I was. They didn't see me as a person. A human being. They thought I was a machine. Cleaning up other people's mess. Dealing with other people's shit. All for minimum wage. My name is irrelevant. So is my life. I have no one.

Please take into note that this is not based on a true story nor is it a true story, but it may have a similar sounding lifestyle to someone you know and love. Life can have different ways of happening in our favour. But if it gets to much life takes a toll on us and the ones we love. Separating yourself from them who care, is not the way. Keep in touch, don't let them fade, don't let them go, when its right. Let us rest. x

I'm a bit new to this poetry writing thing <XD But, I've started a class in it so here I'll be sharing my works. Some will be for contest entries and anything else of the sort. While others will just be whatever comes to mind.
