He was transformed into the ghost boy when his parents built a machine that malfunctioned. His father isn't a only child he has a sister named Jamie Fenton. Jamie has blue hair and eyes. She like her nephew is half human half ghost. She was in love with one of Jacks old friends.

He could finally confide in them with everything he knew about ghosts, he could help them with their research, without suspicion. He wouldn't have to constantly come up with excuses for why he was so injured after fighting ghosts- maybe they could even help him!
