In the Scarab Beetle series, there is one mention of a 12 year old girl whose score at Ashley Waters High School were higher then Wil Winchester's, but no explanation is ever made of who she is, what she is like, or any mention of her in the Ghost Bird series. She interested me, so I wrote the beginning of her tale... India Mikasi is a genius, they say, but she doesn't see herself that way. Of herself, she just says she was a "little brighter than average" and that as a mixed race person, she knew what it was like to be reviled, despised, and then ultimately ignored. At Ashley Waters she was small enough to avoid the bullying, hear a lot she shouldn't have, and acquired nine adopted brothers and a sister of the heart... all before her thirteenth birthday.

My personal journey.

This is a story about Sang Sorenson and how she had left the boys because she had thought she was to much trouble.She now lives in the woods a few years later and works for the academy.She had thought she escaped Volto but truth be told she can never seem to escape him.But she does not suspect the surprise coming to her even if she had made herself hidden.

Sang Sorenson is a witch, a rare one at that too. She's lived in the forest behind the Charleston Kingdom ever since she was born and Sang Can't help but to wonder what life is like outside of the tall trees of her cage. She knows that'll never happen though, not if her mother has anything to do with it. One day Sang encounters a lost girl with glasses and ends up befriending her which eventually leads to weekly visits from her new-found friend. This is only one of the of many, many changes that has happened in Sang's life and she can't help but embrace the euphoric feeling of freedom for the first time. So, what happens when Sang meets 9 incredibly perfect guys from the Charleston Kingdom? What happens when she finds out the Charleston Kingdom is very cynical when it comes to magical abilities? And what happens when her mother finds out what she's been doing?
