They share a look before entering the kitchen, there they spot their sister. Aspen stood at the sink with her back to them, washing dishes as their father sat at the table eating and drinking. Merle stayed in the doorway of the kitchen, watching his younger siblings as Daryl approached their sister like she was a spooked fawn. Daryl kept his voice gentle as he spoke "The hell happened?" She didn't face him, didn't make a sound, but he noticed how she scrubbed harder at the pan, chipping some of the coating. "I shot that damn dog."
