When his chains fail, Remus Lupin must step out of his comfort zone and face the beast within. Will an encounter with other werewolves save him or damn him further? Broken Chains don't always equal freedom. To teenage Remus Lupin, they represent a lost battle with his Beast. * Fun trivia that you probably wouldn't have noticed - I've transplanted the eyes of David Thewlis (the actor that played Remus) onto the wolf on this cover. This book started as a series of entries in Summer Surprises Flashfic collaboration with other profiles. Out of the 3 prompts entered, 2 won 1st place (Summer Surprises by WattpadPotterverse and What's wrong with being confident by Action). Now that the contest is over, I'm going to treat this as a normal book. STATUS: Chapters will resume once I figure out the best way to end this story (or find another prompt to inspire me). I would love your feedback on the existing chapters. Give me your worst critique. I can take it. The Beast of Gevaudan is a short prequel to this story. How would it feel to see your dead loved ones stand before you once again? To sneak around unnoticed, or even posses the greatest wand ever made? Ophelia Miller has never been anyone special. As a matter of fact, she never fit in at Hogwarts. She was a Slytherin, and the daughter of a death eater who now resides in Azkaban along with his wife after the war. However they weren't in the high ranks like the Malfoy's. They were never invited to the private meetings, and that caused Ophelia to be looked down on. The one person she ever truly cared about was her younger brother, Will. In a race for vengeance, she uses Voldemort himself to make Harry feel the loss she did. Her intentions were only to hurt the one that caused all of this chaos, but she finds herself altering the wizarding world, and becoming someone else entirely. Ophelia didn't understand the level of power she had. For Ophelia was now, the master of death.
