Bata pa lang ay natuklasan na ni Edward na may kakayahan siyang makakita ng mga anghel, isang bagay na hindi niya alam kung isang biyaya o sumpa. Hanggang sa makilala niya si Aria, isang babaeng may itim na itim na pakpak at walang alam sa sariling pagkato. Minsan na siyang naka engkwentro ng gaya ni Aria, at hindi magandang karanasan iyon para sa kanya. He knew in an instant that getting in touch with her could only cause him trouble. Pero hindi pa rin napigilan ni Edward ang sariling mapalapit kay Aria. The more he walked away from her, the more his heart longed to be near her. Bukod pa roon, natuklasan niyang kakaiba ang babae sa mga kauri nito. She was innocent. She was kind. And she was all the beautiful things he could ever think of. But she was also being haunted. Fallen man o hindi, nagdudumilat ang katotohanang may humahabol kay Aria. Saan ba ilulugar ni Edward ang sarili sa buhay ng dalaga ngayong napamahal na siya nang husto dito at nararamdaman niyang ganoon din ito sa kanya. Dahil para sa mga tulad ni Aria, walang tamang panahon sa pag-ibig. Love, for them, was always doomed from the very beggining.

Kehidupan seorang gadis yang kekanak-kanakan dan lebay, ia dianggap aneh oleh teman-teman SMP nya, sering sekali ia dibully karena sifatnya yang kekanak-kanakan itu, tetapi walaupun ia dibully berapa kali disana ia selalu berusaha untuk tersenyum. Kehidupan tanpa sekolah memanglah berwarna untuknya tetapi saat ia menginjak dirinya masuk sekolah warna itu pudar. Gadis yang ceria dan menyenangkan sepertinya itu, tidak ada yang mau berteman dengannya kecuali boneka beruangnya, memang itu adalah benda mati tetapi itu dapat membuatnya bahagia, boneka itu adalah moodbooster Akari. Sangking kesepiannya dirinya ia sampai mengobrol dan curhat dengan benda mati yaitu boneka beruangnya, sampai orang rumah benar-benar khawatir dengan keadaan si gadis kecil itu, kasihan padahal masih muda. Saat ia memasuki masa SMA ia telah memutuskan untuk tidak menjadi dirinya. Dia menyadarkan bahwa semuanya yang ia lakukan itu aneh, tidak seperti remaja pada umumnya, tapi walaupun Akari sudah mulai merubahkan sifatnya ia tidak akan pernah melupakan boneka beruangnya itu. Disaat awal Akari memasuki masa SMA ada sesuatu yang terjadi berkaitan dengan boneka beruangnya.... Dan untuk seterusnya apakah kalian yakin bahwa gadis itu benar-benar kekanak-kanakan?
