Fairies aren't real. They're something that exists in the minds of children or madmen. Right? Not anymore. There was always something strange about Westbury. It was one of those towns that always had a magical feel to it. You'd never expect little flying creatures, though. - A book written by Rachel Andrews and Manisha Maharajh for the Westbury Faery contest! They say a Lady is prim, poised, and proper. But what happens when she is also magical? Meet Lady Adelina an ordinary girl who becomes the kingdom deadliest weapon and biggest threat. The kingdom of Iris has for long been peaceful and when Adelina gets invited to be the companion to the royal princess, life seems too good to be true. But amidst the balls, the gowns and a certain pair of princely eyes lies the portal to the enchanted world of magical creatures. A world only she has access to. Will she carry out her destiny to be the marked liaison of both the magical and the mundane world while saving her friends and conquering her enemies?

She danced with the flowers, the irises and the beautiful snapdragons, and they danced along with her. The nature was alive it seemed, the leaves and petals floating through the air as if with wings. This is my story for the Westbury Faery contest.

Who is the Westbury faery? Does it even exist? I intend to use every skill I have learned as a journalist to discover the truth, once and for all.

With her dying breath, a mother pours her magic into protecting her young daughter. Years later, that magic saves the girl from the clutches of a dangerous sea spirit. However, the spirit is angered, and goes out to seek vengeance upon her life. It will take more powerful magic, the kind that can transcend time, to keep this evil at bay. I have no idea if this will ever reach the hands of the believers. But if it does, I hope this finds you well. I am just a mundane, with a story to tell. You need to be warned. About faeries. If you truly are one of us, I need you to believe my words. Locate her. Find her. Help her. You know her story. The story of my dearest friend. The Westbury Faery.

'Clap if you believe in Faeries.' Children were the first to report winged creatures, human-like in form but no bigger than the ring finger. These children were ridiculed and sent to asylums to cure their 'imaginations'. They quickly learnt to be silent but to 'clap their hands in delight' to convey faery rings to other seers. Few people realise the nursery rhyme, 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!' is derived from faery chasers. (Page 27, The Beginner's Guide to Faery Watching, By World Faery Society.)

It began with a love story. The moment Lauren and Philip met in Cork, Ireland it led to the courting and marriage of Lauren Hamilton. Though not far from England, Lauren's past was soon to beset the newly married couple. *i hope y'all enjoy reading it!!*
