This is the origin story of the Westbury Faery.

I was born with no name, but one day would be known as Lauren McNeil. How did I acquire the name? I borrowed it, from a girl who fell in love with a boy I also loved. The boy's name was Philip Ripton and he was the love of my life. For centuries, my ancestors have warned our people to avoid humans. Humans, although fascinating and different, brought nothing but destruction and chaos into the world we were forced to share. And, if given the opportunity, humans had the power to harm us-although, as a child, I had no idea how humans, who had no magical ability, had the power to hurt us. We are the Fae. We are powerful, wise, resourceful, and formidable. We are immortal and there's no way to kill us, besides iron, which is the only thing we fear. I couldn't understand why my people warned me against humans. Until the day I fell in love with a human boy who would, one day, have the power to render me powerless. My borrowed name is Lauren McNeil, but you can call me the Westbury Faery, and this is my story.

These are my stories for the assignments and prompts, as said in the name. Inclusive are "Teen Programme," which was awarded a spot on the LGBTQ+ Sun-kissed anthology, and "Merged," which got into the top 100.

Fairies aren't real. They're something that exists in the minds of children or madmen. Right? Not anymore. There was always something strange about Westbury. It was one of those towns that always had a magical feel to it. This article investigates the mystery surrounding the baffling Westbury Faery, and answers the question: is the Westbury Faery a real creature or is it just an expansion of the Irish archetype? Thanks to the preservation of Philip Ripton's prized chest filled with faery evidence, I can shed light on this unsolved case. You know the story or that's what you think... They found that box. That box full of secrets. Secrets that at this point can no longer be controlled. You found a diary there, do not begin to make haste conclusions because, I think it's better if I tell you the story. I know what I'm talking. I am very close to what I will tell you. I am a mistake. Or at least, I made one. I was supposed to be a changeling. Supposed to. But they noticed. So I was sent back, and the girl was retrieved. Except. They couldn't find the other half of her soul. So they used mine. ~Three《♤》Parts~

With her dying breath, a mother pours her magic into protecting her young daughter. Years later, that magic saves the girl from the clutches of a dangerous sea spirit. However, the spirit is angered, and goes out to seek vengeance upon her life. It will take more powerful magic, the kind that can transcend time, to keep this evil at bay.
